Beyoncé and Jay-Z have identified themselves in a lawful predicament.
E! News can ensure the Hollywood energy couple and musicians are going through a lawsuit from a Jamaican artist boasting she failed to obtain credit for her contribution to “Black Outcome.”
In court docket documents acquired by E! News, Dr. Lenora Antoinette Stines is suing the couple for copyright infringement, suitable of publicity and unjust enrichment.
Dr. Stines statements in court files that she equipped dancers for a video clip intended to boost Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s album and tour. She also alleged the couple preferred to record her sights on enjoy that would be employed in the online video “for marketing reasons” only.
According to the Jamaica resident, Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s challenge was launched and featured “the unauthorized exploitation of her vocals on a tune acknowledged as ‘Black Outcome.'”
“Dr. Stines’ horror and chagrin was compounded when she understood that not only have been her vocals showcased on the recording and in the project, but she also identified that she was not even credited by the defendants for delivering her vocals,” court docket documents state. “This discovery still left Dr. Stines emotion violated and as if the defendants experienced ‘artistically raped’ her.”
