In preparation for the Paris Olympic Games, the United States men’s basketball team defeated Australia this Monday. The Americans won 98 to 92 in a friendly match played in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
In a series of friendly matches before leaving for Paris, the so-called Dream Team had previously defeated the Canadian team 86 to 72. The Americans still have to face three teams before the Olympics: Serbia, South Sudan and the current world champions, Germany.
The highlight of the North Americans and the team’s top scorer was Los Angeles Lakers player Anthony Davis with 17 points. In Australia, Houston Rockets athlete Jock Landale was the highest scorer with 20 points.
