Waiters at a UK pizzeria chain got into an arm wrestling match with kitchen staff to get back a percentage of the tips they shared with colleagues in the pandemic.
According to the impasse-breaking union, Pizza Express pros agreed to end the rule that 50% of tips paid by card must be given to kitchen workers.
The waiters return to receive 70% of all tips, except for 30% of the kitchen staff.
They argued that they should keep a larger share because they are paid less for hours worked than their colleagues.
