Telset.id, Jakarta – The villainous character in the game Resident Evil Village, Lady Dimitraescu, immediately caught attention when it was first shown last month. Many fans of the Resident Evil franchise question this charming vampire character with his charming body.
In response to memories and questions from fans, Capcom revealed as the developer of Resident Evil Village that Lady Dimitrescu has a height of 2.9 meters!
Not only that, the Art Director of Resident Evil Village, named Tomanori Takano, revealed more information about the design inspiration of the vampire Lady Dimitrescu.
Takano reported that from the beginning, he and his team wanted to use the theme of the castle and vampires, which were thick with scary elements. But in the end, Takano and the team actually came out of the “vampire image concept” and chose another topic.

“We don’t want to be limited by how vampires are depicted in various forms of popular entertainment,” he said.
He and the team started with the concept of the “Baywatching Vampire”, and were inspired by characters such as the aristocratic and serial killer Elizabeth Bethori, Japanese urban legend Hashku-sama and Annelika Huston’s Morticia Adams.

Takano’s decision proved successful. When Lady Dimitrescu first appeared in the teaser of Resident Evil Village in January, the character immediately went viral.
Due to its popularity, Lady Dimitrescu was created by her fans as a meme, fan, and even cosplay. Of course it is very profitable for Capcom as a developer.

“The first concept artwork I drew was the scene in the trailer where Lady Dimitrescu gets off to walk through the door. From then on, I knew I had to do that scene, ”he explained.

The Resident Evil Village developer team was very surprised by the positive reactions from fans of this game franchise. I am very surprised by comments like “I want to be chased by her”, said Takano.
