The Brazilian mediator will take the field for another international appointment this Wednesday (23). At the invitation of the United States Football Federation, a trio formed by referee Edina Alves and assistants Nuza Back and Leila Moreira was selected to mediate the match between the US and Iceland women’s teams.

The trio will perform at the Toyota Stadium in Texas (USA) at 11 pm (Brasilia time). The duel is valid for the ‘She Believes Cup’ tournament. The Brazilian referee’s recommendation for the match becomes even more relevant due to the context of the competition. Ultimately, the game between the United States and Iceland will define Foursquare’s legendary champions.

Following a recommendation from FIFA, the United States Soccer Federation formally invited a 100% Brazilian women’s trio in January. In addition to the United States and Iceland, New Zealand and the Czech Republic also compete in the current edition of the She Believes Cup.
