Angus said, “The Stones were in Australia and it was during the day. Me and Malcolm were doing what we always do – sitting in my studio.” The situation took an interesting turn when the Stones’ stage manager appeared to invite them: “He said, ‘Keith wants you guys to come over’ – because they were rehearsing.” Malcolm, in his usual disrespectful way, replied, “Yeah, okay, let them practice.”
Eventually, Angus and Malcolm decide to go to the rehearsal space. Angus recalled, “We got there, he took us in and I had never met Keith before.” The interactions with Keith Richards and Mick Jagger were exactly as he imagined: “If you look at him and Mick, they’re almost parodies. They’re exactly as you imagine; they’re naturally like that. Are the same.”

The situation immediately turned into an opportunity when Keith enthusiastically invited Angus and Malcolm on stage. “He said, ‘Let’s get the guys on stage. Let’s get some guitars. Ronnie, get the guys some guitars.'” Angus recalled that when he joined the Stones, his song of choice was “Rock Me Baby”. Was.
