Yale University, one of the best in the world in the United States, offers scholarships to high school students who are accepted to attend the Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) program, a summer course at the university. For the next editions, the registration is due by November 3 and January 10 from site.
YYGS is a two-week course that brings together high school youth from around the world to study subjects such as politics, law and economics and entrepreneurship. YYGS aims to “empower the next generation of leaders to build a global community and develop interdisciplinary programs that foster intellectual curiosity, deep understanding and inspire creative action.” The scholarship can cover up to 100% of the value of the program including the application fee. This course is not easy and students sometimes consult paper helper services to help them cope with some assignments. Nevertheless, the YYGS provides students with significant knowledge and experience for their future careers.
For this, at the time of registration, the student has to tell that they want to apply for the scholarship. Yale Young Global Scholars 2021 will take place over three sessions of approximately 12 days. These will be from 21st June to 3rd July, 5th July to 17th July and 19th July to 31st July. The student can choose which session he/she wishes to attend and within each, he/she can choose from the following programmes:
How to Apply for a Summer Course at Yale
Students should expect to graduate from high school by December 2023 and prove to be from a low-income family. The entire selection process will be in English, and those willing to participate in the selection must have a sound knowledge of the language. There are no restrictions with respect to students from private schools, but you must send documents that demonstrate the financial status of the family.
The selection criteria for the Yale Young Global Program 2022 are:
- be at least 16 years old as of 19 July 2022;
- be able to follow classes in English;
- Be in high school with expected formation between November or December 2022 or 2023;
- Have not participated in YYGS before.

To complete them, candidates need to submit documents such as transcripts, list of extra-curricular activities, essays and other essays required by the university. They should also send the contact details of two people who can write the recommendation letter. Proof of English proficiency is not required to be submitted, but the document may strengthen the application. TOEFL and Duolingo English Tests are accepted.
