SpaceX is aiming to start three rockets on Sunday, including two back-to-back Falcon 9 launches in Florida and a Starship exam flight in Texas, if weather conditions permits.
The aerospace enterprise stated it intends to start its twelfth Starlink mission at 10:12 a.m. EST from the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida, sending 60 Starlinks into orbit.
The 2nd Falcon 9 launch is scheduled to occur nine hours and six minutes afterwards, taking off from the Cape Canaveral Air Pressure Station at 7:18 p.m. and sending a SAOCOM 1B spacecraft into orbit.
The two the Starlink and the SAOCOM 1B launches will be stay-streamed.
Separately, SpaceX is also reportedly aiming to start the Starship SN6 from Boca Chica, Texas, for a lower-altitude test flight. Before in August, SpaceX founder Elon Musk tweeted that the business is setting up to do “a number of small hops to easy out start procedure, then go significant altitude with human body flaps.”
However it can be unclear what time the Texas launch — if it goes forward — will happen, Cameron County in Texas has introduced freeway closures concerning 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. CST “due to anticipated examination start activities for SpaceX.”
On Friday, Musk acknowledged the initiatives for the several launches on Twitter, expressing there was a “very good likelihood a thing will slip, but, yeah, Sunday is intensive.”
