NEW DELHI: The health and fitness ministry has asked all the states to treat the quarantine time period of physicians and wellness employees as “on obligation” amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
In a letter to the chief secretaries of the states and Union territories, directors of all the AIIMS and directors and health-related superintendents of central authorities hospitals dated August 6, Joint Secretary in the wellbeing ministry Lav Agarwal has stated the quarantine time period of medical doctors and well being employees for their obligations linked to Covid-19 shall be treated as “on duty”.
