Message: Moraes was angry with Team USA and Interpol – 08/17/2024 – POWER

A conversation in 2022 between two judges who instructed Minister Alexandre de Moraes, one from the STF (Supreme Federal Court) and the other from the TSE (Superior Electoral Court), reveals the dissatisfaction of the Minister’s office with the stance of Interpol and the United States government in the case of anti-Bolsonaro blogger Alan dos Santos.

The influencer is investigated in digital militia and fake news investigations due to his attacks on institutions and democracy. A preventive arrest warrant has been issued against him by Moraes and he is considered a fugitive from Brazilian justice.

Last Wednesday (14), he was the target of a new arrest warrant issued by Moraes on suspicion of crimes against honor, obstruction of justice and threats.

In October 2021, Moraes also ordered the arrest, inclusion in Interpol’s Red Broadcast and extradition of Allen by the USA – where he had been residing since being the target of PF searches in Brazil.

The conversation between Judge Airton Vieira, Moraes’ right-hand man in the STF, and Marco Antonio Vargas from the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) presidency office took place in November 2022 and is part of more than 6 gigabytes of communication between members. Access to Moraes’ offices Sheet,

When contacted, the office of Minister Alexandre de Moraes said that “all procedures were official, regular and duly documented in the ongoing inquiries and investigations at the STF, with the full involvement of the Attorney General’s Office”.

Alan do Santos became a topic in WhatsApp groups after he appeared in a video during a protest against five STF ministers attending a private event in New York.

On November 14, 2022, Judge Marco Antonio Vargas sent Minister Moraes’ messages to the group that included Airton Vieira.

The text is accompanied by a link to a post on social networks with a video of the Bolsonarista blogger insulting a Brazilian man as he left the hotel where the STF minister was staying.

“Tell Airton to talk to PF about the red alert,” says the text of the message sent by the judge from Moraes’ office at the TSE.

Airton Vieira, in his response to his colleague, told him that he has already contacted the Interpol representative in Brazil. According to him, Interpol in Washington and the Brazilian attache of the organization were also contacted to take action regarding Alan dos Santos.

When asked by Judge Marco Antonio Vargas if Interpol had included the blogger’s name in the red alert, the judge assigned to the STF sent an audio explaining the situation.

“The issue of the red alert is a long story, but in short it is this: the request for the red alert was already made a year ago, but it is in Lyon, which is Interpol’s headquarters. And the people there have not responded so far, they simply refused to do so and repeated requests by Interpol here in Brazil have been to no avail”, said Airton Vieira.

According to him, even after several requests, Interpol’s central office in France did not include Allen’s name in the red alert and “explained that the issue might have a political bias.”

“It was done a year ago, we have been asking, they haven’t done it. This means that, in fact, Alan dos Santos has not been arrested until now,” he said.

The judge also remarked in the audio that, as of November 2022, the US had “not even officially responded” to the extradition request.

“The Interpol central office in Lyon does not put his name on red alert, the US does not respond to the extradition request, which has already been made, even on the basis of his pre-trial detention, and that is the situation,” he said.

After the audio, the two judges exchanged some messages regarding the case of Alan dos Santos. They also made clear their dissatisfaction with the stance of Interpol and the US government.

However, Airton Vieira said that “the Interpol people” believed that, with the change of government and the inauguration of Lula (PT), the situation could change. Judge Marco Antonio Vargas said, “I am not even going to answer the minister because he must know this story very well.”

“Yes, you know this story in detail. You don’t agree, and that’s right. But we can’t do anything about this Interpol issue as well as the extradition issue. Everything we could have done was done, we followed the whole process. But Interpol in Lyon deferred the red alert request and the US could not resolve the extradition issue.”

In another message, the TSE judge classified the stance of Interpol and the US government as “sloppy”. Airton then added: “Of course. That’s why this idiot Alan dos Santos feels free to do what he does…”.

“This makes me want to send some thugs to grab this guy by force and put him on a Brazilian plane,” Marco Antonio Vargas said.

Following the messages, Airton Vieira also sent a final audio on the subject. In the message, he reiterated Interpol’s position and also raised his voice of criticism of the US government.

“If they want to send you away because they don’t like the look in your eyes, they will come up with some excuse and put you on the first plane back and deport you, extradite you, kick your ass, whatever you want, but they do what they want with whoever they want, understand otherwise there is no government in the world that decides what they have to do”, he said.

“They have their own time, their own interests, that’s the whole problem, that’s the question.”

The judge also reinforced the idea that a change of government in Brazil could ease the extradition process.

“Because, if for us Alan dos Santos means something, for them he means zero. So they are not going to get headaches from the Brazilian government, even if the Brazilian government is in a different direction. Maybe things will change from January 1, I don’t know,” he said.

As shown Sheet In March of this year, the United States government informed Brazil that it would not extradite Alan dos Santos for what the Americans view as crimes of opinion, which would be guaranteed by the right to freedom of expression.

However, the Americans said they were willing to continue the process against the influential figure in relation to other crimes such as money laundering.
