Manchester United face a group stage in the Champions League after being drawn with Paris Saint-Germain, RB Leipzig and Istanbul Basquez in Thursday’s draw.
United beat a 2-0 loss to PSG in the last 16 on a memorable 3-3 goal at Park des Princes two seasons ago. However, last season Thomas Tuchel’s team reached the final, Leipzig was the semi-final, and the Basques became Turkey’s champions for the first time.

Manchester City will face Porto, Olympiacos and Marseille in Group C. Atletico Madrid, Salzburg and Locomotive Moscow are in Group A, while Chelsea are in Group E with Europa League champions Sevilla, Krasnodar and Renes.
UEFA also announced on Thursday that supporters would be allowed to take part in the competition, although only 30% of the capacity and according to the relevant local covid rules. Fans away will not be allowed.

Earlier, the UK government said travel corridors for Poland and Turkey had been removed and countries had been added to the national quarantine list. Although discounts are expected from players and team staff, this means that any traveling media should spend 14 days in solitude if they cover the United match in Istanbul. France is already on the list.
The inaugural group games are scheduled for October 20 and 21. The first three rounds of the first three weeks of matches precede the international break in November, which ends on December 8 and 9. The fixed schedule for the group stages will be published by UEFA on Friday.
In the draw, Chelsea’s Pernille Harder and Bayern’s Robert Lewandowski won the UEFA Women’s and Men’s Player of the Year awards.
