After a year and a half out of the cages, Junior Signano made his debut at Eagle FC 47, an event led by former fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov on Friday night (20) in Miami (USA). The former UFC champion was doing well in the fight against Yorgan de Castro, who is also the ex-Ultimate, but was injured in the end and saw a declared victory for the Cape Verdean fighter in the main event.
After seeing Yorgan better from the first round, with a higher level of boxing, Signo was improving and showing more gas. In the third round, after a blow, the Brazilian dislocated his shoulder and was unable to continue the fight. It is the fifth consecutive loss for Junior Signano, who doesn’t know what it’s like to win since 2019, when he defeated Derrick Lewis.
Other Brazilians on the card
In the co-main event, fellow veteran Thiago Silva faced Hector Lombard and the match ended in “no contest” (no result). In the second round, the Brazilian imposed an illegal knee on Cuba, who was no longer able to pursue. The referee understood that this was not intentional and therefore “NC”.
Four more Brazilians were at the show. Ronnie Marques dominated the fight against Reggie Pea and won after the injury of his opponent. Paulo Belo defeated Sean Soriano by split decision, while Gabriel Cecco was defeated by Andrew Sánchez unanimously. In the end, Alexander Capitao lost to Roosevelt Roberts by unanimous decision.
