Mameronac, New York – Tiger Woods“The first round at the US Open was a glimpse of his golf situation, as he returned from a three-month hiatus due to a coronavirus – he had some great moments, some good moments and many unique moments.
There were weeds. Back-to-back birdie run. A dirty double at the last hole of the day. A stable diet of missed fairs.
In the end, the scorecard was added to 73 in 3 overs.
Much has happened to reach that number. His first round at Winged Foot came out as follows:
No. 1: Par-4: 451 yards

Welcome to the US Open at Winged Foot. Thomas and Morikawa were left 40 yards behind after Tiger Woods shot a bad tee in the Fairway bunker. Access thrown into the greenside trap, but comes up and down. Pars works here.

Not that he wants to make it a habit, but Tiger Woods with another sand savings. He gets up and goes down to the third rescue. All three players missed the green – get used to it, it’s a 240-yard par 3 – and both Woods and Morikawa were able to replace, while Thomas couldn’t.

It’s never good when you hit a put, then you need to go back and get the iron. This is what happened to Tiger Woods for the fourth time. Just 20 feet from the front edge, his put passed over a hole on an opela and across the green. His return chip hit the 6-foot scooter. He rolled into it, but only tried hard to make a boogie.

Another lost fairway then leads to a dangerous one-foot, one-foot out-of-the-bunker shot for Tire Woods. Another boogie. This is the initial struggle on the difficult path of basic conditions.

Maybe the strategy is out of T? Tiger Woods finds his second way by throwing heavy wood at number six. He makes a hole in Chunni’s right pin and spins 5 feet for his first birdie of the championship.

Tiger Woods with a solid approach to cross time seventh. The birdie can’t be replaced, but it’s a stress-free hole. He needed a little break after how many jobs he had in the first five.

Tiger went back to the driver at number 8, which means getting fat again. The difference between fairway and rough – even if he missed just a few feet – is serious on winged feet. And the little Miss T comes with another bogie.

Tiger Woods missed a chance to go for the green in two in a lonely cross 5 in front of a wide drive and another lost trail. But he found himself back in the position of putting on the birdie for a long time – which fell. He goes out in 1 over 36. It took a lot of work.

Putter is getting a little hot for Tiger. After turning one to close the front nine for Brandy, he finds himself in second place at number 10 to equalize. There are two big birdies.

Look out … Tiger Woods has it going. After his bogey at No. 8, he beat three birdies in a row and reached No. 1 for the US Open. It was a little surprising given how much of a struggle this was at the beginning. He is not the only one who makes it to the group. Justin Thomas also posted three straight birdies.

Tiger Woods by mistake from long para-3 13th hole and t. Missing green and can’t scramble this time. A strong race to get him back to parity stopped with a bogey.

How bad is it on winged feet? Tiger Woods misses Frey at 14 – hear that before today? – But there were only 160 yards of green. He couldn’t get it there. It hacked, but only grew to about 130. His fine pitch doesn’t leave him with 12 feet to equal. Does not make it. All those nice walls of three straight birdies are gone.

The 16th hole is not a birdie hole. It’s a monster at 498 yards. Of course, Tiger Woods spins at 20 feet for just the third birdie of the day. What happens to the last two holes is that he is going to sign a scorecard with lots of birdies, squares and pars.

What a strange turn for Tiger Woods. He missed the fairways, found a lot of bunkers, wrapped in some long straps, cut a chip at the last hole. He made six sacks, six pars, five birdies and a double card. This is by far the most complex way to shoot a 3-over 73.
