The Jiu-Jitsu teaching application developed by Master Rocian Gracie Jr., a member of the most traditional family of gentle arts, contains over 60 hours of recordings, in which approximately 300 movements are used in the practice of the modalities.
The Jiu-Jitsu teaching method is available in one app for Android and iOS since March 2022 with techniques, step-by-step movements, exclusive videos of submissions and other important points for users to develop and graduate.
Method is intended for all Jiu-Jitsu categories and its entire curatorship was overseen and edited by Rocian Gracie Jr. Currently, the curator makes available 284 videos in the app. The edited material has a total of 8 hours 40 minutes.
“Today, 32 categories of positions are taught in this method, including self-defense, the main ones being guard passing, guard sweep, mount, back dominance, defense and submission from practically all jiu-jitsu positions”, Rocian Gracie Jr. explained.
The app is 100% in Portuguese and the recording was divided into sessions of 2 to 4 hours of footage, and took 4 years to complete.
The app was developed by Eduardo Matano, partner and responsible for content and recording, and Victor Gomes, administrative partner and systems engineer with over 20 years of experience in the field.
Law exams are conducted every 4 months and for these periods, the team plans new content for the stage. “We are also going to provide materials dedicated to black belt teachers to help teachers and gym owners succeed in teaching jiu-jitsu. seminars and even a no-ji jiu-jitsu course (No GI) have been designed for the update”, revealed Eduardo Matano, one of the app’s developers.
