The program provides trusted travelers with expedited customs and security clearance when entering the United States

Brand USA, in collaboration with US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), announced that Australia, South Korea, and Japan will join the program. Global EntryWhich provides expedited customs and security clearance to travelers deemed trustworthy when entering the United States.

This initiative will simplify the entry process for tourists from these three countries through a program that Brazil has been part of since 2002.

“This collaboration reflects the strong commitment of the public and private sectors to improve the travel experience of international visitors. Through our efforts, we extend a warm invitation to visit, find innovative ways to communicate U.S. travel policies, and keep the destination a priority for international travelers”

Aaron Vodin-Schwartz, Director of Corporate Affairs at Brand USA

Individuals approved for Global Entry will enjoy efficient processing times at U.S. airports, making their travel experience seamless and more enjoyable.

Brand USA and its federal partners are discussing future opportunities to bring this opportunity to additional markets. More information about the Global Entry program is available on the Global Entry website U.S. Customs and Border Protection,

Australia is an example of this

In the case of Australia, its participation will be limited initially. In January 2025, 1,000 frequent travelers (classified as those who have traveled to the US at least five times in the past 12 months) will receive the first discount on sign-up as part of a trial period.

The second stage, where anyone can apply, will happen at the end of the year after the necessary legislation is passed by the Australian Parliament. No firm date has been given for when this will happen.
