ABU DHABI, 14th July, 2022 (WAM) — His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President, said that the UAE will adhere to its firm vision of supporting every step taken to promote coexistence and cooperation. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed made this statement while participating in the first virtual meeting of the I2U2 Group Leaders Summit, which includes the United Arab Emirates, the United States, India and Israel. The Emirate’s President stressed that “only partnership can address today’s complex and overlapping challenges, the most important of which are food and energy security, climate change and health.”
The country’s leader explained that the UAE believes that the economy provides the best way to achieve peace, security and progress, especially when governments and peoples have the will and courage to build partnerships and meet challenges. “This is embodied in the first projects of our quartet, which focus on food, climate-smart agriculture, solar and wind power and energy storage,” said the UAE President.
During the summit, which was attended by US President Joe Biden, Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation took. Let me begin by thanking the State of Israel for hosting this first I2U2 Leaders Summit.
I thank the leaders of the United States and India for their participation and their continued support for the success of the Group’s work at all levels.
This summit is a clear testimony to the great opportunities for cooperation between countries and economies with shared values and goals focused on peace, tolerance and prosperity.
Our countries do not share geographical boundaries, but are in pursuit of peace in their joint action to achieve peace and prosperity and prosperity.
