What are air transport bubbles?
“Transport Bubbles” or “Air Travel Arrangements” are temporary arrangements between the two countries aimed at resuming commercial passenger services. Regular international flights COVID-19 has been suspended as a result of the epidemic. The airlines of both the countries get the same benefits in nature.
Details of such arrangements are as follows:
1. Afghanistan
From India to Afghanistan
i. Afghan citizens / residents and foreign nationals who hold a valid Afghan visa if required; And
ii. Any Indian citizen holds a valid visa of any kind from Afghanistan and is only for Afghanistan. “The concerned airlines will have to ensure that there are no travel restrictions for Indian nationals to enter Afghanistan under the special visa category before issuing tickets / boarding passes to Indian passengers,” the ministry document said. From Afghanistan to India
i. Indian nationals stranded in Afghanistan;
ii. All Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders holding Afghan passports
iii. The document states that foreigners (including diplomats) hold valid visas issued by an Indian mission in any category on June 30, as amended from time to time under the guidelines of the Home Ministry (MHA).
2. Bahrain
From India to Bahrain
i. Bahraini citizen / resident
ii. Any Indian citizen who obtains a valid visa of any kind from the State of Bahrain and is assigned to Bahrain only. The concerned airlines have to ensure that there are no travel restrictions for Indian nationals to enter Bahrain with special visa category before issuing tickets / boarding passes to Indian passengers.
From Bahrain to India
i. Indian nationals stranded in Bahrain
ii. All Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders with Bahraini passport; And
iii. Bahraini nationals (including diplomats) hold valid visas issued by an Indian mission in any category under the guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
3. Canada
From India to Canada
i. Trapped Canadian citizens / residents and foreigners who are eligible to enter Canada with a Canadian visa; ii. Indian nationals with a valid visa to enter Canada. Relevant airlines will ensure that there are no travel restrictions for Indian nationals.
iii. Ships with foreign nationals on ships with foreign nationals will be approved by the Ministry of Shipping.
Canada to India
i. Trapped Indian nationals
ii. All Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders holding Canadian passports; And
iii. Overseas (including diplomats) who are eligible to enter India as per MHA guidelines
4. France
From India to France
i. M.H.A. Permitted to travel abroad as per 01.07.2020 as per the guidelines of EU
ii. Trapped EU citizens / residents, foreign nationals destined for Europe and passing through France or their spouses, whether with or without; And
iii. Semen of foreign citizenship; Ships with Indian Passport will be approved by the Ministry of Shipping.
France to India
i. Stranded Indian nationals;
ii. Overseas (including diplomats and OCI card holders) who are eligible to enter India as per Home Ministry (MHA) guidelines.
5. Germany
From India to Germany
i. M.H.A. Permitted to travel abroad as per 01.07.2020 as per the guidelines of EU
ii. Stranded EU citizens / residents, foreign nationals assigned to Europe and passing through Germany or their spouses, whether with or without; And
iii. Semen of foreign citizenship; Ships with Indian Passport will be approved by the Ministry of Shipping.
Germany to India
i. Stranded Indian nationals;
ii. Overseas (including diplomats and OCI card holders) who are eligible to enter India as per Home Ministry (MHA) guidelines.
6. Iraq
From India to Iraq
i. Citizens / residents of Iraq;
ii. Any Indian citizen who has any valid visa from Iraq and is only valid for Iraq.
Iraq to India
i. Indian nationals stranded in Iraq;
ii. All Foreign Citizens of India (OCI) card holders holding Iraqi passports; And
iii. Citizens of Iraq (including diplomats) hold valid visas issued by an Indian mission in any category subject to (MHA) guidelines.
7. Japan
From India to Japan
i. Trapped Japanese citizens / residents and foreign nationals hold Japanese Japanese visas subject to border measures and travel restrictions imposed by the Japanese government during travel; And
ii. Any Indian citizen holding any valid visa from Japan is subject to border measures and travel restrictions imposed by the Japanese government while traveling.
Japan to India
i. Stranded Indian nationals;
ii. All Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders holding Japanese passports; And
iii. Foreigners (including diplomats) hold valid visas issued by an Indian Mission in any category subject to MHA guidelines.
8. Maldives
From India to Maldives
i. Maldivian citizens / residents and foreign nationals holding Maldivian visas, if necessary;
ii. Any Indian citizen.
From Maldives to India
i. Indian citizens
ii. All Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Maldivian Passport Card Holders, and
iii. Foreigners (including diplomats) hold valid visas issued by an Indian mission in any category under the MHA guidelines.
9. Nigeria
Flights from India to Nigeria
i. Trapped Nigerian citizens / residents, foreign nationals assigned to Africa and transmitted by Nigerians or their spouses, whether with or without;
ii. Any Indian citizen holds a valid Nigerian visa of any kind and is eligible for any country in Africa.
iii. Semen of foreign citizenship; Ships with Indian Passport will be approved by the Ministry of Shipping.
From Nigeria to India
i. Indian nationals stranded in any African country;
ii. All Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders holding Nigerian passports;
iii. Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders who have passports issued by any African country are eligible to enter India as per MHA guidelines.
iv. Overseas (including diplomats) hold valid visas issued by an Indian Mission in any category subject to MHA guidelines.
10. Qatar
Qatar from India
i. Qatari citizens
ii. Any Indian citizen holding a valid Qatar visa of any kind is only valid for Qatar.
From Qatar to India
i. Indian nationals stranded in Qatar;
ii. All Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders holding Katri Passports, and
iii. Katari nationals (including diplomats) holding valid visas issued by an Indian Mission in any category under MAHA guidelines
11. United Arab Emirates (UAE)
From India to UAE
i. Citizens of the UAE
ii. Regular for UAE only for UAE residents approved by ICA.
iii. Any Indian citizen holds a valid UAE visa of any kind and is regular for UAE only.
Flights from UAE to India
i. Trapped Indian nationals
ii. All Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders holding UAE passports; And
iii. Citizens of the United Arab Emirates (including diplomats) hold valid visas issued by an Indian Mission in any category subject to MHA guidelines.
12. United Kingdom (UK)
From India to UK
i. Trapped UK citizens / residents, foreign nationals by the UK or their spouses, whether with or without them.
ii. Any Indian citizen holding a valid UK visa of any kind is only valid for the UK.
iii. Semen of foreign citizenship; Ships with Indian Passport will be approved by the Ministry of Shipping.
UK to India
i. Trapped Indian nationals
ii. All Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders holding a UK passport; And
iii. Foreigners (including diplomats) who are eligible to enter India.
13. United States (USA)
From India to US
i. U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents and foreign nationals who are U.S. citizens. Hold a visa;
ii. Any Indian citizen holds a valid visa of any kind.
iii. Semen of foreign citizenship; Ships with Indian Passport will be cleared by the Ministry of Shipping
From USA to India
i. Trapped Indian nationals
ii. All Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders holding a US passport; And
iii. Foreigners (including diplomats) who are eligible to enter India.
