Cafe chain Zizzi and Check with Italian closing 75 branches

The owner of Zizzi and Check with Italian cafe chains reported it will near 75 places, risking the reduction of up to 1,200 work.

Azzurri Team, which also owns the Coco Di Mama pasta chain, has been marketed out of administration to TowerBrook Money Associates.

The shift will maintain 225 retailers and dining establishments open up and preserve about 5,000 work opportunities.

The corporation stated the coronavirus had strike restaurants tough.

“The Covid-19 crisis has had a profound effects on the informal dining sector, bringing numerous organizations like ours to a standstill,” explained Steve Holmes, chief government of Azzurri Team.

Previous month The Cafe Team, which owns Frankie and Benny’s, explained it envisioned to reduce up to 3,000 workers immediately after confirming strategies to shut 125 web pages.

And this month two of the UK’s most important Substantial Avenue merchants, John Lewis and Boots, have declared 5,300 position cuts.

The moves appear amid warnings that new economic help from Chancellor Rishi Sunak will not be enough to end millions of workers shedding their work.
