After confirming two friendlies against Colombia, on October 26 and 29, the Brazilian team has already confirmed its next commitments: against Australia, on November 28 and December 1, which are the last FIFA dates of the 2024 season.
Friendlies have been confirmed to take place in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, with Matilda in charge. Arthur Elias’ men do not have good memories of Australia, as they were eliminated in the first stage of the 2023 Women’s World Cup, while Australia had the best campaign in history: finishing in fourth place.
The confirmation came from the Australian Football Federation on its social networks, however, the CBF has not yet commented on what happened. The last time the two teams faced each other was in 2021 and on that occasion they had a 2-2 draw, looking back there have been 17 games, with 09 wins for the Matildas, 02 draws and 06 Brazilian victories.
The Brazilian team has begun its preparations for two important tournaments: the Copa América, which will take place in Ecuador between July 12 and August 2, and the 2027 World Cup, which will take place on Brazilian soil.
