Biden fumes at allies over pressure to step down

According to the newspaper, despite saying he would stay in the race, Biden is slowly acknowledging the possibility of withdrawing. Dates and venues were being discussed for a possible announcement of his withdrawal from the presidential race.

Tension with Obama and Pelosi

Obama told aides in recent days that “Joe Biden’s path to victory in this year’s presidential election has narrowed significantly.” This information is from The Washington Post. Obama thinks the president “needs to seriously consider the viability of his candidacy.” Biden was Obama’s vice president. The current president served in two of the former president’s administrations between 2009 and 2017.

White House officials believe Pelosi supported Representative Adam Schiff’s call for US President Joe Biden to step aside from the US presidential race. He reportedly said Biden cannot win the Nov. 5 election, according to a senior White House source with direct knowledge of the matter. Schiff said in a statement Wednesday that he has “serious concerns” about whether Biden can defeat Republican Donald Trump, the first Democrat to speak since Saturday’s assassination attempt on the former president.

Biden’s campaign believed that Trump’s firing had quelled the calls for a retraction. However, Schiff’s statement demonstrated otherwise.

Biden campaign

Biden’s performance has set off alarm bells in the Democratic Party. Since then, several Democrats have expressed concern and suggested – anonymously – that Biden quit the race. Doggett, 77, is the first to speak openly about this.
