Australian Open 2024 Final Results: Febriana/Amalia Galib, Indonesian women’s doubles contribute to title

Sydney – Indonesian women’s pair Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi successfully won the final of the 2024 Australian Open, winning the best match of the Super 500 level tournament against Malaysian Lai Pei Jing/Lim Chiew Sien. 12-21, 21-7 and 21-13.

The two representatives met in Qualantree, Australia on Sunday, June 16, 2024. This was the first meeting between the two people.

Fabriana/Amalia had a tough start to the first game. They barely managed to take the lead over the champions from the neighboring country.

Febriana/Amalia’s attacking attempts continue. However, Lai/Lim looked very strong in the first game.

They can confuse their opponents to such an extent that it becomes difficult for them to find a way out of the pressure. Fabriana/Amalia lost immediately with a very close score of 12-21.

In the second game, Fabriana/Amalia performed brilliantly. They immediately defeated their opponents from neighbouring countries without any mercy.

Febriana/Amalia immediately established a long-term lead with a provisional score of 6-0. Lai/Lim did not advance in the game this time.

They will have to work hard. The Malaysian representative managed to score only 7 points by the end of the game.

Fabriana/Amalia did not calm down the intensity of the game. They defeated their opponent in the second game with a score of 21-7.

The dominance of the Indonesian women’s doubles continued in the third match as well. Febriana/Amalia were ahead 9-5 at the start of the game.

Lai/Lim don’t want their dreams to end just like that. This time they are desperate to take the lead. The attacks continue. However, Fabriana/Amalia quickly steal the intermediate points with a score of 11-5.

After the break, Lai/Lim fell behind for a few periods. Fabriana/Amalia’s defence was hit hard.
