The biggest festival of outdoor competitions and mountain culture in Brazil, the Banco Master Rocky Mountain Games, opens for the 2022 season this Saturday and Sunday (2nd and 3rd) in Pedra Grande, Atibia. 800 athletes will be divided into seven modalities
The structure, set on the free flight landing strip, located in Parque da Pedra Grande (Alameda Pro. Lucas Nogueira Garcez, 4746 – Jardim Itapetinga), the main meeting point for adventurers in the region, will be the starting point of the modalities: mountain biking ( 25 km and 50 km), trail run (6 km, 12 km, 21 km and 42 km), uphill race (4.5 km), downhill, hike and fly (trekking + paragliding), gravel (50 km) and canicross (dogs) and 4 km run with their teachers) )
The competition will also provide participants with the opportunity to explore the area as the routes pass through a combination of public, private and protected areas, many of which are closed for use for most of the year.
The Master Rocky Mountain Games Bank will have a cash prize of $20,000. In addition to the trophies, the top three men and women in trail run 21km, mountain bike 40km, uphill and gravel mods. The individual and team champions of Rocky Man and Rocky Woman (category that includes trail run 21km, mountain bike 40km and uphill race) will also pocket some money.

In parallel with the competitions, the Banco Master Rocky Mountain Games will have cultural attractions to engage the athletes’ family and friends, as well as visitors. The event will include concerts by two bands, outdoor movie shows, dining options as well as additional activities such as slacklines and ax throwing.

For children ages 5 to 12, the Go Outside Camp will have activities specially designed for them. Set at the Event Arena, it will run from 6:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
