As with any major release operating system, a lot of attention was drawn to Windows 11 – which happened in Brazil late last year. Every Microsoft user asks this question: is a system upgrade worth it?

To try to understand a bit more about the topic, Match Listened to Leandro Martins dos Santos, expert in systems analysis and development. For the specialist, the answer is obvious: the new system does not have so many advantages in comparison with Windows 10.

“Windows 11 has become beautiful and easy to navigate, but it still doesn’t pay to opt for the new system. It’s still normal to introduce instability after a new update is released, so if over time this one If the update turns out to be a good update, it could become a good option for migration,” explains Leandro.

At this very first moment, Microsoft is updating Windows 11 and the company’s initial thought was that all devices that meet the prerequisites will receive the update by mid-2022. It has 1 GHz dual-core processor, 4 GB RAM, at least 64 GB RAM. Internal storage and TPM 2.0 compatibility.

If your machine already has these requirements, the process is simple, just download the Windows 11 ISO from Microsoft’s own website and the installation wizard works automatically. And this is one of the novelties of Windows 11, “Cortana” (Microsoft’s virtual assistant) will not be activated as default, indicating that the company does not intend to continue in contention for virtual assistants, leading to Google The path remains open for Apple and Amazon.

Since Home Office is here to stay, Windows Update is aimed at day-to-day practicality, as Microsoft Teams tools are already integrated into computers. Regarding these positive news, Leandro points out that one of the highlights is the new screen divider. “With this innovation, users can navigate between different windows without changing them, which was essential for developers.”

One of the first changes that users will notice in Windows 11 is a change in the look, as the Windows 11 search bar is centralized, with the idea of navigation becoming more practical. “The central bar brings the idea of greater fluidity and modernity to the user experience, but the benefits will depend on how each person uses this new configuration,” explains Leandro.

The second major change is in the “Start Menu”, which is a sidebar with well-known alphabetical programs. Now at the top is the “Search field”, then a field containing some programs selected by Microsoft – it is worth remembering that if those are not enough, just click on “All Programs” and add others. New to this field is the “Recommendations” field, which collects the last used apps or opened files, making it easy to continue where you left off.

System Analyst believes that Microsoft will make Windows 11 mandatory at some point. “At some point, Microsoft will end support for Windows 10, forcing user migration, as was the case with Windows 7 most recently.”
